le first outing

The Eusoff Hall 25th Junior Common Room Committee, or commonly known as the JCRC (the student council equivalent for halls of residences in NUS), had its first inaugural outing to the beautiful island of Sentosa today. And because Lukey the blogger also happened to be Lukey the media director, he sort of volunteered to be the photographer for the day. After all, what's an outing without awesome photos right?

Sentosa, our destination for the day

Somehow the trip today kinda reminded me of the groups dynamics class that I took two semesters ago. As the JCRC group was voted in for the purpose of accomplishing a task, which is leading the hall, and one can say that our group is originally very task based, I wondered if this outing was to increase the cohesion within our group. After all, there's this common perception that increased liking between group members will be good for the group when they want to achieve a task.

But enough of boring Psychology theories. Today's blog post is about fun! And honestly, I did enjoyed myself a lot. I did miss the earlier karaoke session though (which was why there's no pictures of it) as I was busy, but since I'm not a big fan of singing, I'm not complaining. Besides, we did a lot of fun stuff too on Sentosa. Stuff like learning to play the ukelele...

Camwhoring...

And more camwhoring...

with a lot of pimples on my face and a topless dude photobombing

We took some jump shots...

Tried to make our jump shots spell out JCRC...

added in the fonts to make it more obvious

We even unlocked the achievement of reaching the southern most point of continental Asia...

But best of all, we had a long and good heart to heart talk session on southern most point of continental Asia. It kinda reminded me of the times I had during orientation but it was more special this time because how many people have had the chance of having heart to heart convo before in such a special place? And though my free days are finally coming to a close, because I start work tomorrow, I was glad to have spend my day through this outing with them. I have a feeling that it's gonna be an awesome year ahead for us.
